“In Those Shoes – I don’t think so!”
This is a line from my favourite Kirsty MacColl song. A great song about getting up to (or being persuaded to get up to) all sorts of things in a pair of killer high heeled shoes. I love the attitude of the song. I also love the attitude of a pregnant lady who won’t stop wearing her heels even though she has a bump. I have a friend who never leaves the house without her heels on, come rain or shine!
I posted the following question on Facebook a few weeks ago:
“I haven’t worn heels since I got pregnant with my son and now I’m expecting number 2. Getting married in 17 days so should really practise walking in my shoes!”
“Heels all the way! With my first everyone nagged me on how I shouldn’t wear heels wasn’t safe for me or him. so at 38 weeks I decided to give them up, second day in walked into tkmax in ugg boots landed straight on my arse!! No one helped me get up either my sister had to run from where she was in the shop to help me. That wouldn’t have happened had I been wearing my heels. BUT I’m a heel person I think you should just stick to what’s best for you and you find most comfortable. With my second I wore mainly flats but not because I was pregnant, just because I wear them alot more since having my first and chasing him everywhere lol. People are judgmental though if you wear heels someones always got something to say! X”
I have to say that I always feel more glamorous in heels and I was lucky enough to be able to wear them throughout both my pregnancies. That’s not the case for all of us and hot weather doesn’t help either. I bet Kim Kardashian will still be wearing hers!
Where are you on the great heel debate?
